The short story "Uneasy Homecoming" is a mystery. Right when Connie got home she new something was not right. She felt someone or something was in the house with her or watching her. When she was walking around the house at night time that's when suspense happened. Connie calls Mrs Winston her neighbour because she always put a smile on Connie's face and always cheers her up. And then Mrs Winston told her about all the stuff that has been going on. Like all the houses getting broken into and the guy almost getting beaten to death. Then she goes up stairs and finds cigarette buts on the floor and a ash tray on the bed. And a bag of jewelry under her bed. Then she went downstairs and went to the pantry and opened the door and saw the window was broken and a mud trail on the ground. Then she new that the bugler was using her house to stash everything. Then she went downstairs to phone the police and she her footsteps so she rain out side to hide and she saw the burgles motorcycle and opened the gas tank and put a match in it and then the motorcycle blew up and the police came. And the burgler was Mrs Winston's son!

Courage

We have been reading Anne Sexton's poem, "Courage" and Rudyard Kipling's poem "If". Both poems deal with the theme of courage. Which poem appeals most to you and explain why. Consider what the poet says and how each poet expresses his/her viewpoint.


The pem that appeals most to me is the courage poem. Because its talking about what people go threw in life and how much it can hurt you...Its talking about what people go threw in like like harshness and abuse and stuff... This poem stands out more for me then if this was a great poem and i liked it alot..

Kipling used son and man at the end of the poem is because his son is turning in to a man!By being mature and not lieing to people and being mean. No it does not because a girl can nnot be a man. A kid can't be a man to. You always hear father's telling there son one day u will become a man.The father should show responsabiltys and leadeship so his son can follow his foot steps. I think this poem can relate to anyone.

I think it changed her life alot because now she can talk to people. And befor he couldn't be able to talk to people and people were telling his mom to give up on him but she didn't.Even thought he could not talk or walk or sit up on his own he could still wright with his left foot.
